For more than two decades, Paryavaran Resource Centre has worked with rural communities, government institutions, development agencies and other partners on water security, watershed development, sustainable agriculture, natural resource management and community empowerment.
Project experience spans planning and implementation, technical studies, community mobilisation, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, groundwater management, GIS-based planning and livelihood-oriented interventions.

PRC is the Project Implementation Agency for PMKSY 2.0 – WDC 2.0 Project No. 03, covering seven villages in the Chapadgaon cluster. The project focuses on integrated watershed development at the village level.

Two decades of field experience, shown as selected themes rather than every historical assignment.
985 recharge shafts and 277 trench-cum-recharge shafts across 108 villages in Ahmednagar and Pune, including assignments supported by GSDA and CSR funding. Reported outcomes include improved drinking-water security, increased irrigated area in some locations, and greater awareness of judicious water use.

With technical support from NIRD Hyderabad, PRC applied GIS for village-level planning at Kasare. Micro-watershed plans addressed drought and water scarcity. Reported results include reduced soil erosion, moisture conservation, higher crop yield, household income and irrigation efficiency.
Training and handholding in horticulture, strawberry and vegetable cultivation: beneficiary selection, practical training, and continued support to start agricultural activities.
Training in agriculture processing, floriculture, vegetable cultivation, horticulture, strawberry cultivation, turmeric plantation and medicinal plants, primarily with the Tribal Development Department in Aurangabad.
136 self-help groups formed across 10 villages. Training for presidents and secretaries in record keeping, handholding for bank linkage, and support to access bank loans.
Rainwater harvesting at Zilla Parishad schools in Kasare and Vanjarwadi/Dhanora, in partnership with the respective Gram Panchayats.
Design and estimation of cement nala bunds, mobilisation of beneficiary contributions, and support for construction. The wider portfolio also includes farm ponds, drip irrigation, kitchen gardens, gabion structures and masonry diversion structures.
Work with the Tribal Development Department includes gymnasiums and toilets in government residential schools, irrigation wells, Gharkul projects, horticulture and agriculture training, farm ponds, kitchen gardens, micro-irrigation, floriculture, medicinal plants, and farmer equipment.
District implementation in Nashik District. The method included geo-spatial surveys, GPS mapping, aquifer assessment, water-use and baseline surveys, community mobilisation, IEC, water budgeting, participatory Water Security Plans, village institutions, and monitoring.
