Who we are
Over the past two decades, PRC has implemented a wide range of Programmes in groundwater management, watershed development, soil and water conservation, climate-resilient agriculture, livelihood enhancement, tribal development, and capacity building. The organization combines technical expertise with community participation to ensure long-term and sustainable development outcomes.
PRC has played an important role in major government initiatives. During November 2021 to March 2026, it served as a District Implementation Partner under the Atal Bhujal Yojana in Nashik District, supporting community-led groundwater management in 131 villages. Since September 2025, PRC has been working as a Project Implementing Agency under PMKSY 2.0, implementing watershed development activities in the Chapadgaon Cluster of Shevgaon Block, Ahilyanagar District.
The organization has developed strong expertise in watershed management, groundwater recharge, recharge shaft construction, sustainable agriculture, and community-based natural resource management. Its interventions have contributed to improved water availability, enhanced agricultural productivity, and increased climate resilience in rural areas.
PRC follows a participatory and inclusive approach, actively engaging women, farmers, youth, tribal communities, and vulnerable groups in development processes. Through its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community ownership, PRC continues to work towards building water-secure, environmentally sustainable, and self-reliant rural communities across Maharashtra.
